Sjömansblock (2007), scored for reciter, singer, flute, auxiliary, and electronics, is based on Bengt Emil Johnson´s ¨text block¨, Till Skillnad. Johnson approaches life and humanity from many different angles with different expressions and fonts. This creates a sense of three dimentional space and time. All these aspects are connected through boundaries and differences. Sjömansblock's boundaries explore the limit and relationship of the instruments (reciter and singer with voice, singer and flute with air, flute and auxiliary/electronics with mechanics etc), of the text and musical instruments, and of the identities of each instrument and musical phrases.
